Powhatan’s girls lacrosse team has come close to reaching the summit of region and state title glory over the past few years. With 16 returning players, 10 of which are seniors, the Indians are loaded up for another run to reach the peak of Class 4 in 2025.
Powhatan’s baseball team is getting back out onto the field these next few weeks, bringing with them eight returning players from last year’s squad.
It wasn’t exactly what everyone pictured for the season’s grand stage, but the VHSL Class 4 Wrestling State Tournament still served up a climactic finale to the season for many of Powhatan’s top competitors.
Led by first-year coach Greg Willis and four seniors, the Powhatan girls basketball season concluded with a 13-10 record, a region tournament victory, and the program’s first winning season since 2022.
